Margot Starbuck

Margot is passionate about effective communication. Holding a Master’s of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Bachelor’s from Westmont College, Margot is the author of six books and collaborator on others. Margot’s first book, The Girl in the Orange Dress, was awarded the 2011 Golden Scroll Award for Nonfiction Book of the Year by the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association. Margot’s writing has also been recognized by the Evangelical Publisher’s Association and was a finalist for Selah Awards Best Christian Living Book in 2015 for Not Who I Imagined.

Margot is a columnist for Today’s Christian Woman as well as the confessions editor of Geez Magazine’s “Sinner’s Corner.” (And what could possibly be more wonderful than that fun thing?) You might have seen her work in print and online at Relevant, Neue, Today’s Christian Woman, Kyria, Rev!, Fine Homebuilding, Family Fun, Focus on the Family, Adoptive Families, Relief and Susie. She also speaks around the country about God’s gracious love for us, inspiring audiences to live out that love for others.

Margot and her three amazing teenagers live downtown Durham, North Carolina, in a neighborhood built around their friends with disabilities.
