Tim Maurer is an advisor, speaker and author. As a Wealth Advisor for Buckingham Asset Management and Director of Personal Finance at the BAM Alliance, he is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner working with individuals, families and other financial advisors. Along with Jim Stovall, he is the co-author of The Ultimate Financial Plan: Balancing Your Money and Life, and is a regular contributor to Forbes, CNBC and CNN/Money.
Tim lives in Charleston, South Carolina with his wife, Andrea, and their two sons, Kieran and Connor. Outside of personal finance, his favorite pursuit is music, and he plays the drums and sings in an indie-bluesy-jazzy-rock band and at his church. Tim is also part of a group dedicated to serving the second poorest country in the Western hemisphere, Nicaragua, through micro-finance and entrepreneurial ventures.
