Angie Ward has impacted thousands of leaders during nearly 30 years of ministry as a leader, teacher, writer, and pastor’s wife. She thoroughly knows and “gets” the world of ministry and the life of the ministry leader. Angie is known for her genuine love for ministry leaders, her down-to-earth style, and her unique ability to see and explain complex concepts and systems.
Angie is an award-winning regular contributor to Christianity Today leadership publications. She has served as a contributing editor and editorial advisor for Leadership Journal, Building Church Leaders, and Gifted for Leadership. She is also a highly regarded teacher and speaker, with classroom experience at Denver Seminary, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Trinity International University, and Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School. Her leadership experience includes roles in church, para-church, nonprofit, and educational contexts.
Angie earned her Ph.D. in Ministry Leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Additional education includes an M.A. in Educational Ministries & Administration from Denver Seminary, a B.A. in Youth Ministry from Trinity International University, and advanced coursework at the University of Minnesota and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
A sportswriter in a previous life, Angie loves running, basketball, humor, movies, and juicy cheeseburgers with fresh-cut fries (see: running). She and her husband Dave live just outside Indianapolis with their two teen-aged sons and one very spoiled beagle.
