Dr. Andrew J. Bauman is a writer and former licensed mental health counselor whose work focuses on sexual health, abuse, and wholeness with men. He founded Narrative Somatics™, a therapeutic approach that helps people reach and heal core wounds. His books include Safe Church, Stumbling Toward Wholeness, How Not to Be an *ss, The Sexually Healthy Man, The Psychology of Porn, and A Brave Lament (with his wife, Dr. Christy Bauman), which became an award-winning film. He holds a master’s in counseling psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and a doctorate from Northeastern University. He lives with his family in Brevard, North Carolina.
