Congratulations to Patrice Gopo. 2025 North Carolina Book Award Recipients announced, NC AAUW Young People’s Literature Awards: Carol Baldwin for “Half Truths” in YA literature and Patrice Gopo for “Ripening Time” in Children’s Literature.

Additionally, Patrice Gopo is pleased to share that her book, Ripening Time, is a finalist for the Southern Book Prize in the category of literature for young readers! Finalists are selected by indie booksellers and represent, “the most beloved “handsells” of the year in fiction, nonfiction, and literature for young readers.” Voting is now open to the public to select the winners.
