Denise George


Denise George is author of 30 books and more than 1500 articles in magazines like Redbook, Essence, Guideposts, Decision, Christianity Today, and many others. She has published books with Penguin Random House, Tyndale House, Zondervan, Bethany House, LifeWay, Broadman/Holman, and others. Her last three books have been major narrative nonfiction collaborations on WWI and WWII military history and heroes: Behind Nazi Lines, Orchestra of Exiles, and The Lost Eleven, all published by Penguin Random House. Denise loves a well-written story.

Denise is married to Dr. Timothy George, founding Dean of Beeson Divinity School, Samford University, Executive Editor of Christianity Today magazine, author of numerous books and articles, and co-founder/co-writer of The Manhattan Declaration (with Charles Colson and Dr. Robert George). Timothy and Denise have a son, Dr. Christian Timothy George, a daughter-in-law, Rebecca P. George, a daughter, Alyce Elizabeth Kim, and a son-in-law, Stephen Kim.

Denise enjoys spending quiet time in solitude, contemplation, and reflection. She also loves to write, speak, teach, travel the world, meet interesting new people, and enjoy coffee time with old friends. And she is always in search of a good story.
