The Rev. Samantha Vincent-Alexander served in the Diocese of Southern Virginia for 18 years. Most recently, she served as the rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Hampton Virginia. There she navigated through current issues, with a congregation first established in 1610. Samantha has been active in the ministry of the diocese and the national church, serving as the President of the Standing Committee as well as the Chair of the Commission on Ministry, in addition to numerous other committees and commissions. She attended General Convention as a deputy in 2012, 2015, and 2018. She is married to another Episcopal priest, and they are proud parents of a passionate and rambunctious boy. She is a certified yoga instructor and loves to teach it in the church community.
