Barbara Scott

Barbara Scott has more than twenty years of book publishing experience in the Christian market. As a senior acquisitions editor, she is credited for kicking off a well-rounded series of bestselling YA novels at Zondervan and quality, highly reviewed novels at Abingdon Press. Later, Barbara worked with both fiction and non-fiction authors and sold their work to numerous publishers while acting as a literary agent for WordServe Literary Group.

Currently, she is writing the second novel in her Reluctant Brides series. Her best-selling novels Sedona Storm and Secrets of the Gathering Darkness were written with co-author Carrie Younce in the 1990s. Her educational background includes a M.A. and a B.A. in English.

She and her husband, Mike, live in the Nashville area with their two Chihuahuas, Riley and Sissy, both rescued from puppy mills. Reading, writing, and historical research are her passions.
