David B. Biebel, D.Min.

David Biebel holds the Doctor of Ministry (in Personal Wholeness) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. He has edited the Christian Medical & Dental Associations’ flagship journal Today’s Christian Doctor since 1992. Prior to that he edited the Focus on the Family Physician magazine.

He often speaks on recovery from losses, depression, and similar subjects at workshops, seminars, and retreats. He has authored five books, including Jonathan You Left too Soon, How to Help a Heartbroken Friend, two novels, and the best-seller If God is So Good, Why Do I Hurt So Bad? He has co-authored or otherwise collaborated on ten other books including the Gold Medallion Winner New Light on Depression (2004), Finding Your Way after the Suicide of Someone You Love (2005) and Simple Health (2005). His newest collaborative work, 70 Ways to Beat 70 will be released in late 2008.

Dr. Biebel and his wife, Ilona, co-founded Hope Central Ministries (http://www.hopecentral.us) to fulfill the calling to bind up the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61:1-3). Their dream is to establish a guest house where those who hurt can find divinely-orchestrated healing, peace, hope, and a new sense of purpose and calling, even joy again.
